Happy Valentines Day! This evening I'm celebrating the completion of a major project. During that project I was challenged to think differently about color, design, and motif inspiration.
For the regular readers of this blog, you probably already know that I am highly inspired by nature. My latest journey reinforced my belief that one can not improve on the perfection in Mother Nature. The goal of this series of posts will be to pull out the colors that we find beautiful in natural elements to have a resource for selecting fibers for our Needle Art.
Beginning this week, I will share images for you to be inspired by. This will be series of posts for Wednesdays that will be called "Inspiration Wednesday".
Above is a water lily I had the privilege of taking during a walk with my wonderful sweetheart last summer. To the right is a color-way that I took from this image. Imagine these colors in a luscious wool/silk fiber….
