Take a stroll with me through the Jacksonville Airport...

you never know where you will bump into amazing Fiber Art.  During my mad dash through the Jacksonville Airport on Monday I bumped into a wonderful gallery outside of the check point area filled with the art of two fiberists including that of Hye Shin.

Her pieces were mostly woven with wonderful embroidered or hand stitched elements, made with natural fibers.  My apologies for the horrible picture - I promise to get a better cell phone which takes decent pictures or begin to carry my camera with me!  For more information on this exhibit and background on the artist please visit the Jacksonville airport website and this link to a gallery featuring her work.

I'd like to commend the Jacksonville airport for supporting the arts!  Funding has become scarce during this down economy and it's great that they add to their passenger's experience with this type of display.  They certainly enriched my business trip, well done!
