Welcome 2011!

...and goodbye to 2010.

This is Clay, my male puppy, enjoying his winter holiday at his favorite woods retreat -- my parent's house.  By the looks of things, this picture was taken as it was beginning to snow in North Georgia.  Just as it was beginning!

Why am I sharing a picture of snow on a stitching blog?  Because this picture pretty much describes my last week or so. Won't bore you with the details but the 30 or so inches that my parents received over Christmas derailed the many hours of stitching, blog posting, LilyStitch projects, etc. that I had planned on.  I also have to own up to the fact that in the confusion of coordinating doggie visits, parental time, In-Law visit, technology fixes, TV issues, etc with the wild storm -- I have apparently left my camera at my parent's house, some 250 miles away.  So no stitchy pictures...  At least we got the station wagon off the side of the frozen, ice encrusted road and avoided the snow ditch thanks to the help of a couple of really nice, strong gentlemen who came along at just the right moment.

"Life is what happens when you are busy making plans!"

So true! That saying is the perfect summary of last year and why I am looking forward to 2011.  There is much on the agenda for LilyStitch and I think I'll be able to catch up this week.  My apologies on having to begin reposting first of next week rather than today but I think you will find it is really worth the wait. Especially, if I can manage a really great, new camera out of this so that I can share fabulous pictures with you.

One last shot -- check out this fantastic picture of the snow on the railing.  Thanks for taking these Momma!

  1. Clay looks like he is heading off into some serious fun. The snow is beautiful isn't it? At least when you don't have to get out in it. Can't wait to see your projects!
