Fleur de Lis Class #1 Tonight

Tonight I get the opportunity to work with about 10 of my local ANG members on the Fleur De Lis class.  This will be so much fun!  The members have the option of choosing from either 32 or 18 count Gauze.  We'll work with both silk floss and a little bit of metallic threads.  I've painted the design directly onto the gauze to make it easier to stitch the design while getting familiar with the working with the gauze.

As you can see, I am still playing with the finishing of the ornament.  My sister loves the simplicity of the single gold bead on the edge but I may add a twisted cobalt beaded fringe.  The thing that looks a bit like a caterpillar (top picture) is a rope that I began which I have thoughts of using as the "cord" but it looks so big...  I may chose to make a bracelet and do a much lighter beaded cord instead.

I'll post more in the next few days... I am wondering if this might be a fun first cyber class?  Anyone interested?  My vision is to do a free class tutorial with instructions on how to stitch it and I could sell the painted Gauze design on Etsy...
